Public transportation users are anticipating the new Mobility for Well-Being System, which will adjust transportation fares beginning December 1, setting the cost at 15 pesos in the Hotel Zone and 13 pesos in the Urban Zone.
The system will advance progressively, as Ana Paty explained that the municipality currently does not have sufficient resources to implement it in its entirety. In Cancun’s case, the planned routes will include those connected to the future Nichupté Bridge, with the goal of improving connectivity between downtown neighborhoods and the Hotel Zone.
In parallel, the municipal and state governments will work on infrastructure related to this program, such as installing new bus stops on avenues like Kabah and Nichupté, which will help improve the efficiency of the Mobility for Well-Being project.
