Guy Fieri (Guy Ramsay Fieri) was born on January 22, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio, United States. He lived in California most of his childhood and when he was ten, he opened his first business in order to save to study a year abroad, he called it “Awesome Pretzel“.

In 1996, Guy Fieri opened his first restaurant called Johnny Garlic’s, in Santa Rosa, California in partnership with Steve Gruber. Some years after, and with a good number of his restaurants scattered about in the state, he opened in 2012 the first “Guy’s American Kitchen + Bar“, in New York City. In 2014, a second one sees light in Las Vegas, and, barely a year after, the first international opening occurs in the International Airport of Cancun with the help of MERA.

MERA and Guy Fieri have worked together since then. On December 2015 a “Guy’s American Kitchen + Bar“ opens in terminal 3 of Cancun´s airport. In 2017, a new concept is launched under the Flavortown Brand, a foodhall that offers some of the most popular items that Guy´s restaurants are famous for: hamburgers, sandwiches and pizzas.”

Eric Kayser was born on the 16th of October 1964 in Lorraine d’Alsace, France, to a family of bakers. At 14, he started his internship as a baker in Fréjus Fréjus Once finished, Eric was accepted into the prestigious Comagnons du Tour de Francen organization of artisans that originated during the Middle Ages that has as its mission the preservations of techniques and traditions.

After having finished his studies he worked as an instructor for ten years in the national school of bakers in France. One of his biggest achievements during this time was the invention, in conjunction with Patrick Casagna, of a machine for liquid leavener that revolutionized the baking industry. In 1996, following his entrepreneur spirit, he launched his first boulangerie in the heart of the Latin district in the heart of Paris. Success followed and it has allowed him to open more than a hundred stores in 25 countries to date.

MERA and Eric Kayser started working together in 2019, seeing their first achievement, of many to come, in the opening of a Maison Kayser store in terminal 2 of the International Airport of Cancun in 2020.

Singer, composer, actor and entrepreneur, considered one of the most emblematic Colombian artists and a key figure in Latin American music with more that 20 million albums sold around the world. Carlos Vives was born in Santa Marta, Magdalena, Colombia on the 7th of August, 1959.

He is also considered a pioneer of the new Colombian and Latin American sound. He was the first Colombian artista to win a Grammy. His career as restaurant owner started in 1997 when in partnership with his brother Guillo launched a small restaurant-bar where the best live music in the city is found as well as delicious Colombian dishes inspired by the seaside cuisine.
