Guy Fieri (Guy Ramsay Fieri) was born on January 22, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio, United States. He lived in California most of his childhood and when he was ten, he opened his first business in order to save to study a year abroad, he called it “Awesome Pretzel“.
In 1996, Guy Fieri opened his first restaurant called Johnny Garlic’s, in Santa Rosa, California in partnership with Steve Gruber. Some years after, and with a good number of his restaurants scattered about in the state, he opened in 2012 the first “Guy’s American Kitchen + Bar“, in New York City. In 2014, a second one sees light in Las Vegas, and, barely a year after, the first international opening occurs in the International Airport of Cancun with the help of MERA.
MERA and Guy Fieri have worked together since then. On December 2015 a “Guy’s American Kitchen + Bar“ opens in terminal 3 of Cancun´s airport. In 2017, a new concept is launched under the Flavortown Brand, a foodhall that offers some of the most popular items that Guy´s restaurants are famous for: hamburgers, sandwiches and pizzas.”
