Guy Fieri (Guy Ramsay Fieri) was born on January 22, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio, United States. He lived in California most of his childhood and when he was ten, he opened his first business in order to save to study a year abroad, he called it “Awesome Pretzel“.
In 1996, Guy Fieri opened his first restaurant called Johnny Garlic’s, in Santa Rosa, California in partnership with Steve Gruber. Some years after, and with a good number of his restaurants scattered about in the state, he opened in 2012 the first “Guy’s American Kitchen + Bar“, in New York City. In 2014, a second one sees light in Las Vegas, and, barely a year after, the first international opening occurs in the International Airport of Cancun with the help of MERA.
MERA and Guy Fieri have worked together since then. On December 2015 a “Guy’s American Kitchen + Bar“ opens in terminal 3 of Cancun´s airport. In 2017, a new concept is launched under the Flavortown Brand, a foodhall that offers some of the most popular items that Guy´s restaurants are famous for: hamburgers, sandwiches and pizzas.”

Eric Kayser was born on the 16th of October 1964 in Lorraine d’Alsace, France, to a family of bakers. At 14, he started his internship as a baker in Fréjus Fréjus Once finished, Eric was accepted into the prestigious Comagnons du Tour de Francen organization of artisans that originated during the Middle Ages that has as its mission the preservations of techniques and traditions.
After having finished his studies he worked as an instructor for ten years in the national school of bakers in France. One of his biggest achievements during this time was the invention, in conjunction with Patrick Casagna, of a machine for liquid leavener that revolutionized the baking industry. In 1996, following his entrepreneur spirit, he launched his first boulangerie in the heart of the Latin district in the heart of Paris. Success followed and it has allowed him to open more than a hundred stores in 25 countries to date.
MERA and Eric Kayser started working together in 2019, seeing their first achievement, of many to come, in the opening of a Maison Kayser store in terminal 2 of the International Airport of Cancun in 2020.

Singer, composer, actor and entrepreneur, considered one of the most emblematic Colombian artists and a key figure in Latin American music with more that 20 million albums sold around the world. Carlos Vives was born in Santa Marta, Magdalena, Colombia on the 7th of August, 1959.
He is also considered a pioneer of the new Colombian and Latin American sound. He was the first Colombian artista to win a Grammy. His career as restaurant owner started in 1997 when in partnership with his brother Guillo launched a small restaurant-bar where the best live music in the city is found as well as delicious Colombian dishes inspired by the seaside cuisine.
MERA Corporation started working with the Vives brothers on December 2017 when a Gaira Café opened in the International Airport of El Dorado or the then, Brand new restaurant área.
Wolfgang Johannes Puck
Wolfgang Johannes Puck was born on the 8th July 1949 in Sankt Veit an der Glan, Austria. Wolfgang became interested in gastronomy due to his mother who worked as a cook in a tourist center. At 14 he left home to work in hotel kitchens where he learnt the foundations. Later, he emigrated to France and found a space to continue learning among the best high-end restaurants.
Due to his success with Spago, Puck became one of the first American celebrity chefs. Apart from opening other restaurants around the USA, he has served the Oscar feast for over 20 years. Today, there are three main branches to the business: Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group; Wolfgang Puck Catering, and Wolfgang Puck Worldwide.
James William “Jimmy“ Buffett
James William “Jimmy“ Buffett (December 25, 1946) is a singer, author, entrepreneur and recent film producer, known for the lifestyle and music of “island escapism“ including his hit song “Margaritaville“ and “Come Monday“. It has a site for fans called “Parrotheads“. His music band is known by the name “Coral Reefer Band.“ In his personal life, he and his wife Jane have two daughters, Savannah Jane and Sarah Delaney, and a son, Cameron Marley.
In 2002 Mera Corporation opened a Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. After five years of success, a new franchise restaurant on the island of Cozumel was established. With 10 years of happy operations, in 2016, the Cozumel unit was relocated to one of the most important piers on the island in order to provide tourists with a unique experience without the need for transportation. Currently, we also operate 3 Air Margaritaville restaurants.
