Ruta Caribe Chetumal Fare Will Reach 15 Pesos

The Quintana Roo Mobility Institute has informed the public that, starting Monday, September 8, the Ruta Caribe urban transport service in Chetumal will have a fare of 15 pesos per passenger.

This adjustment will be temporary, as a second phase is planned in which the fare will increase to 18 pesos, taking into account that the new vehicles will feature Wi-Fi, air conditioning, ramps, low floors, and USB ports, significantly improving service quality compared to the currently used mid-life buses.

Additionally, it is announced that:

• People with disabilities will continue to receive the service free of charge.
• Students and senior citizens will continue to benefit from a preferential fare of 9 pesos.

Through these measures, the Quintana Roo Mobility Institute reaffirms its commitment to providing a more modern, inclusive, and efficient urban transport service for the citizens of Chetumal.
