Mara Lezama inaugurated a modern dome at the CONALEP Cancun Campus IV. The governor led the delivery of this infrastructure that directly benefits local youth. Currently, the project aims to improve recreational and learning spaces in the municipality. During the meeting, the leader delivered a strong social prevention message.
Safe spaces for youth in Cancun
The construction project required an investment exceeding 3.3 million pesos. Thanks to these resources, the student population of 1,139 can perform sports and cultural activities safely. Additionally, authorities announced the upcoming installation of solar panels and air conditioning units. For this reason, the campus establishes itself as a modern facility.
With this project, all CONALEP campuses across Quintana Roo now feature their own sports dome. Student Cinthya Vázquez expressed gratitude on behalf of the entire school community. For the students, this structure represents real protection against the harsh local weather. Therefore, the development of daily school hours will improve drastically.
A permanent call for a healthy life
The event was attended by Mayor Ana Paty Peralta and state educational authorities. In her speech, Mara Lezama strongly urged students to stay away from addictions. “I come to ask you to be immensely happy,” the head of the Executive shared emotionally. She invited the youth to safeguard their physical and emotional health.
Finally, the state leaders performed the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony before the teaching staff. The state administration will maintain strict monitoring of youth welfare programs throughout the region. The main goal remains to build environments free of violence for the future of Quintana Roo.
