Blanca Merari Puerto Morelos is leading a comprehensive strategy to dignify educational spaces in the municipality. Through the “Qué Bonita mi Escuela” program, the local government performed maintenance at the Cecyte Leona Vicario campus. This coordinated effort ensures safe environments for thousands of students and teachers.
Comprehensive maintenance at Cecyte Leona Vicario
The Public Services Secretariat actively participated in these cleaning and improvement tasks. About 40 municipal workers performed pruning and general cleaning. Additionally, they painted metallic structures and the soccer field bleachers. For this reason, the campus now has a renewed and functional image.
During the workday, three heavy-duty units were used. The teams removed a total of 23 cubic meters of brush and various waste. Currently, these actions prevent health risks and improve security around the educational center.
Commitment to the educational community
The Director of Education, Sara Eugenia Sánchez Canul, highlighted the importance of these works. The main goal is to keep schools in optimal sanitary conditions. “We guarantee healthier environments for the entire community,” the official stated. Therefore, the program will continue visiting other schools in the municipality.
On the other hand, Leonel Salazar Trejo indicated that several operational areas are involved. These include Public Lighting, Wells, and Pothole Repair. These departments work together to improve the urban image of Puerto Morelos. Blanca Merari reaffirms her commitment to education and the well-being of new generations.
