SEOP Quintana Roo will allocate a significant budget to the municipality of Tulum. The head of the agency, Rafael Lara Díaz, confirmed the 100 million pesos investment. Currently, public funds will strengthen the local urban and educational infrastructure. This strategy forms part of the comprehensive plan led by Governor Mara Lezama.

School domes and road rehabilitation in Tulum

Among the main projects, the construction of 24 domes in local educational centers stands out. Furthermore, the government allocates 29 million pesos to the highway towards Punta Allen. This project covers nearly 21 kilometers under strict environmental protection techniques. For this reason, the works carefully protect the coastal environment.

Likewise, the agency executes an ongoing pothole repair program across various roadways. SEOP has already addressed 70% of citizen requests regarding urban infrastructure. These requests emerged directly during public hearings organized by the state. Therefore, these actions respond directly to the real needs of Quintana Roo residents.

Infrastructure works in the state capital

Additionally, authorities reported on new infrastructure works executed in the city of Chetumal. The agency invests over 10 million pesos in pothole repairs and sinkhole fixes in the capital. Crews will intervene across several neighborhoods and popular housing estates for two consecutive months. Thus, ongoing maintenance will prevent further damage to urban roads.

Finally, the state government will maintain permanent coordination with municipal commissions and public entities. The priority objective will be optimizing public resources allocated to community works. Authorities will continue monitoring each operational stage to guarantee high-quality results.
