At MERA, we believe that a well-structured sales culture is key to delivering better experiences to our customers. That’s why we’ve held two editions of the course “The Chess Game of Sales”, led by Elvira Alcaraz, aimed at strengthening the commercial skills of our teams.

The first session was directed toward boutique staff, while the second focused on operations leaders: Terminal Managers, Unit Managers, Radio Director, and Vice President. In total, 45 team members took part in these training sessions.

A third session is scheduled to take place virtually, with 40 additional leaders from across Mexico, as well as Ecuador, Panama, and Colombia, set to participate.

During the workshop, participants learned the five-step sales methodology, tailored to MERA’s products. Through practical exercises, they developed key questions to identify customer needs and offer the best possible solutions. The sessions also reinforced the sales closing process and introduced techniques to drive higher consumption.

In the session for leaders, specific follow-up commitments were established, enabling them to lead the implementation of this methodology within their teams—laying the foundation for a strong sales culture aligned with MERA’s business model.

By the end of the training, most participants showed a 30% improvement in strategic sales knowledge and made clear commitments: from boosting their own sales performance and income, to training other teams and sharing what they learned.

“The Chess Game of Sales” marks a step forward in professional growth and service excellence. Thanks to the dedication of every participant, we continue building a stronger, more prepared, and customer-focused MERA
